Just thinking about his big move-in day is making my stomach turn somersaults probably more than his! As an alumnus of San Diego State University, I've been through the whole college thing myself, but suddenly it feels like lifetime ago and I'm not sure how much has changed since then. My son is excited to start this new chapter but can tell he’s got butterflies too. It's that strange mix of anticipation and nervousness that you feel when something big's about to happen. It’s going to be so strange not having him around at home all the time; know I’m going to miss our late-night chats over instant ramen! From dorm life to navigating classes, clubs, and everything else on campus it's whole lot for anyone to take in. So here’s where could use some insider info from you guys. What's campus life like at CSUSM these days? Can anyone share some tips or pointers on making the most out of freshman year? How's the food? Are there any cool hangouts nearby?

Move-in day can definitely be nerve-wracking, but it's also super exciting! Remember feeling mix of emotions when started at Irvine. The key is to take it one step at time and lean on your support system. Anyone else here have tips for managing those first-day jitters?
