Hey there, college community!
Just finished up another enlightening lecture at the gorgeous Malibu campus of Pepperdine University. Seriously, the ocean views from here, they're like nature's own stress-reliever. But let's dive straight into what's on my mind today. Being professor at Pepperdine (and an alumnus), student debt is topic that pops up pretty frequently. We've all been there: worrying about those mounting student loans while trying to balance classes, work, and our social lives.
Back in my college days, was so focused on cramming for finals and chasing good grades that hardly thought about chipping away at my loans. But Meanwhile, at San Francisco State University where previously taught, many students had side hustles or part-time jobs and they'd put fraction of their income towards their student loans. This proactive approach really struck me as smart planning.
