Yo, fellow scholars and bookworms! Jay here, just stepped off the graduation stage at USC (Fight on! Where majored in Music. As native Angeleno, know the hustle of this city is real. Between jam sessions and finals, managed to pen down novel yeah, you read that right! Now I'm at this fork in the road: self-publish or go traditional? Got any of you trojans navigated these waters? What's the scoop is it worth jumping through all those hoops for traditional publisher? Or should take control and just self-publish? Been hearing some chatter about artistic control, royalties, marketing support. It's all spinning my head more than drum solo!

Any experiences or advice would be top-notch. Is there some kinda course at USC on this publishing stuff that somehow missed between music theory classes? Hey you guys! Just reminiscing about my time at Pepperdine University here. Man, those faculty members have been real champs so supportive throughout my journey. They had my back when thesis stress hit like an earthquake. Anyone else got love for our Pepperdine profs? Did they help turn your can't" into crushed it! Too?
