So, I've been sitting here in my San Diego office, stumped. After solid years teaching physics here, keep hearing the same concern from graduating seniors they're flat out terrified about job hunting. Can't blame 'em. It's big world out there and sometimes it feels like you need quantum mechanics to decode the job market. Remember my first gig hunting post-graduation. Boy, that was intimidating! Spent nights tossing and turning, contemplating if black holes were easier to grasp than crafting perfect resume.
So Let's help our future Einsteins find their footing! What's up guys? I've been doing some reflecting lately on my four years at Santa Barbara. Man, those were some wild times. Between the late-night study sessions (sometimes not so much studying), beach volleyball games, and that one unforgettable Halloween party. Let's just say it wasn't all textbooks and exams. But now as an alumna looking back, I'm curious about how others feel about their time there. Did the experience live up to your expectations?
Did you feel prepared stepping into the real world?
