But man, graduate school? Those were some lonely times. Especially in the beginning when you don't really know anyone and the workload is nuts. Remember I'd come back to my apartment after long days, surrounded by sketchpads and textbooks and just feeling sorta. Alone, you know? And don't even get me started on winters! (Yeah, yeah know, California winters aren’t exactly Arctic but still.) Anyway, dealt with it by diving into my work and seeking out like-minded folks at coffee shops or art events. That helped lot. But Hey fellow Bruins! Got my plane tickets booked and I'm heading your way an international student about to start at UCLA this fall! I've heard good things about the International Student Center, but what’s it really like? Honestly, Do they organize cool events? Or is it more of an academic support kind of place?
