My stomping ground used to be Santa Barbara's Physics Department for years, till decided to hang up my lecture notes and slide rules. Now, enough about me. Want to dive into discussion on California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. Specifically, let's dig into their Engineering programs. You know, I've always admired Cal Poly SLO. They've got real hands-on approach to learning which is incredibly beneficial, especially in the field of engineering.
So any current students or recent grads out there who'd like to share their experiences? I'm particularly curious about the opportunities outside of class you've had internships, student-run projects, that sort of thing. Plus, how competitive was it getting into these activities? Also, any road bumps along your journey? Guess we can't expect all smooth sailing (learnt that through my own fair share of academic adventures! What were some challenges you didn't anticipate when you chose Cal Poly's engineering program? And most importantly, how did you manage to get through them?
And hey there, speaking as dad now, my boy's thinking about heading down similar path at Santa Clara University for his engineering degree. Anyone out there got some insights into the department over there?
