Hey all, I'm currently winding down my last year at Santa Barbara after transferring from Anza Community College.
Quite journey it's been so far! Anyways, I've got this friend considering taking different path by jumping into the unique training methods over at Dell'Arte International School of Physical Theatre. Boy, is it different from your typical college experience! She's absolutely in love with the idea of studying physical theatre the whole concept of storytelling using body language and movement is right up her alley. But, she's also nervous about what it really entails. Like how intense is the training? Are we talking sunrise to sunset workouts and rehearsals? What about the community there is it supportive, competitive, or both? And for anyone who has been through Dell'Arte's programs, were you satisfied with where it got you? Did it open doors you wanted opened or did you find yourself wishing for more traditional educational route? Curious to hear your thoughts and experiences.
After all, isn't life just one big improvisation scene?
