Overcoming stage fright: Any tips for my first big presentation at Cal State?

I've got question that's been rattling around in my head. You see, I'm used to assisting students from behind desk at Pepperdine University's Registrar Office. Need transcript? No problem. Have question about grading? Got you. But this time, it's me stepping into the students' shoes. And boy, it's scarier than thought! I've been asked to give presentation at Cal State and despite years of experience in the higher education field, public speaking is not exactly my forte. Let's just say the idea of standing in front of crowd is making my knees knock louder than the brass bells in Mendenhall Tower (that’s on our gorgeous Malibu campus by the way). Anyhow, I'd appreciate any tips or tricks you might have used to overcome that stage fright. Did deep breathing exercises work for you? Or did visualization do the trick? Maybe chugging Red Bull right before your turn? Just kidding on that last one sort of. Anyway, This California girl could use all the help she can get! And hey, maybe we can turn this anxiety-inducing moment into learning opportunity for all those enrolled or considering enrollment at California colleges. After all, presentations and public speaking are part and parcel of most programs, right?
