I'm Marta. My son is Banana Slug over at Santa Cruz yep, he's all about that marine biology life. But I'm not here to talk about starfish or tide pools, folks. I've got this crazy-exciting news: I've been invited to deliver my first keynote at tech conference! Nervous? You bet. Any advice for rookie like me? On different note, anyone here from University of Southern California? My niece is considering applying and she's curious about the day-to-day life there. The parties, the grind, the classes you know what mean.
We hear so much about the Hollywood stuff but what's it really like being student there? Is it all sunshine and palm trees or is it more library lockdowns and caffeine-fueled study sessions? So there you have it! On one hand, have my big-girl pants on for this keynote gig and on the other, I’m playing cool aunt to an eager high school senior. Life sure knows how to keep it interesting!
